Rhonda DeJong and Heather Bateman, friends and associates for two decades, knew they’d eventually work together. Having met and collaborated in technical school, past experience taught them they had the right dynamic for business; it was just a matter of capturing the right idea, at the right time.

The idea struck in 2008. murmur was borne of a desire to bring something different to Calgary. The criterion was extensive, yet surprisingly simple. Well designed, well constructed and most importantly unique. This principle applied to the store but more importantly to the products they would carry.
